John (J.D.) Best, PE, BCxP, BEMP

J.D. Best, PE, is a licensed professional engineer as well as an ASHRAE-certified building commissioning professional (BCxP) who has successfully designed and commissioned hundreds of complex projects. A mechanical engineering graduate of North Carolina State University, he has worked for nearly twenty years for a variety of clients nationwide, serving as a design engineer, installation contractor, project manager and energy consultant. This experience provides a deeper understanding of all aspects of facility design, construction, and operation, and also builds rapport and mutual respect with project design team members and owners.

We are fully insured and currently licensed in Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado, and have an experienced network of professionals in place to meet your complete MEP design and commissioning needs. We are a SWAM-certified business and are also available for commissioning via Virginia DGS’s Non-Professional Construction Related Services Contract.
